Assembly of People of Kazakhstan Presented the Book 'Elbasy and People'

Assembly of People of Kazakhstan presented the book "Elbasy and People" in the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy.

The book contains speeches of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, Chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev at the Sessions of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan in the period from 1995 to 2019. The publication is based on unique photos and documents from the Personal Archive, stored in the Library of Elbasy.

The edition is dedicated to Nursultan Nazarbayev as the Chairman of the Assembly and his multifaceted activities and efforts to unite the people of Kazakhstan. Elbasy and people are considered as the first foundation of independent Kazakhstan.

Besides, the edition contains a number of important articles devoted to the Kazakhstani model of public consent and national unity of Nursultan Nazarbayev, and also assessments and responses of representatives of ethno-cultural associations which note the contribution and express gratitude of Elbasy for his policy of peace and consent are published.

The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan Zhanseit Tuimebayev, state and public figure Myrzatay Zholdasbekov, Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aktoty Raimkulova, Deputy Director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Kuliash Aktayeva, deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, APK members, representatives of ethno-cultural associations, heads of media, youth wings of APK and other public figures and representatives of the scientific intelligentsia.

Deputy Chairman of APK's Secretariat Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted that today a truly unique publication dedicated to the policy of peace and accord of the First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev being presented.

"In fact, it is a detailed chronicle of the formation, strengthening and development of the Kazakhstani model of social accord and national unity. In the speeches of the President of the Assembly – Elbasy, the stages of formation of the state policy in the sphere of interethnic relations are consistently revealed. At the first session Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev formulated the basic principles of interethnic relations in Kazakhstan: this is the search for points of contact, the expansion of zones of harmony and trust between people. Our main line should be based on the development of all national groups through the search for compromises and strengthening of unifying principles. Without a policy of harmony and a reasonable national strategy, we will not be able to solve any problems. Thus, peace and harmony have initially formed the basis of all state policy, and have become a condition for the implementation of socio-economic and political reforms. I would like to emphasize that the establishment of the Assembly itself has become an important stabilizing factor in the history of the country," the speaker said.

He also spoke separately about fundamental documents, such as the 2010 National Unity Doctrine, which defined the integrity of society.

"The doctrine of national unity has provided clear and understandable answers to three main questions.

First - What do we understand by national unity?

Second - Why is it important for us to strengthen national unity?

Third - What is the basis of national unity?

The historic moment of truth was the adoption of the National Patriotic Act "Mangilik El". It became a declaration of national fundamental consolidating values formed during the years of independence. These are civil equality; hard work; honesty; the cult of science and education; a secular country - a country of tolerance. These values were later developed in the program "Ruhani Zhangyru", an article "Seven Facets of the Great Steppe". I would like to emphasize that Elbasy in his speeches was always very specific, linking the issues of strengthening unity and harmony with the tasks of nation-building. One can see how the Assembly's tasks have changed with each new stage of the country's development and its role has increased," Zhanseit Tuimebayev said.

In conclusion, Deputy Head of APK informed that the book is provided with detailed comments of prominent politicians, experts, members of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, leaders of ethno-cultural associations.

Two sections "Inspirer of victories and achievements" and "Eternal gratitude of Elbasy" reveal how the Kazakhstani model of Nursultan Nazarbayev was refracted in the sphere of real politics, in the life of ordinary people. This makes the publication as close as possible to the actual tasks of today.

Elbasy's huge theoretical and practical contribution to strengthening social harmony and unity is embodied in modern realities and continues to serve backgammon at a new stage of state building," Zhanseit Tuimebayev concluded.
