Production of soft drinks grows n Kazakhstan

According to the results of 6 months, the production volume amounted to 1 billion 494 million liters, which is 12.9% more than a year earlier, El.kz reports with reference to the telegram channel Data Hub.

This is the highest figure in the last 10 years.

However, according to the portal there are some nuances. The first is the structure of production:

• Production of unsweetened and non-aromatized mineral and carbonated water amounted to 326.9 million litres. And this is 1.8% less than a year earlier.

• The production of all other soft drinks increased by 17.8%, amounting to 1 billion 167.1 million liters. It ensures the growth of production.

Second, imports are growing even faster. For 5 months of 2022, 172.1 million liters of sweetened and / or aromatized water were imported to the republic, which is 64.6% more than a year earlier, and is also a multi-year high. The total amount of imports amounted to $ 98.4 million with an increase of 74% in January-May 2021.
