Nur-Sultan hosts presentation of projects to develop potential of women in IT industry
Today, at the site of the National Commission on Women's Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a meeting-presentation was held with entrepreneurs in the field of IT technologies and business, El.kz reports.
The partner of the National Commission for the organization of the event was the public association "TECHNOWOMEN", the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The meeting was held by the Chairman of the National Commission, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva.
The event was attended by women entrepreneurs, heads of IT projects, leaders of public organizations, representatives of state bodies and national companies. At the meeting, the participants worked on the development of women's opportunities in the digital economy and the introduction of socially significant IT projects for women and children into practice.
Speaking to the participants of the presentation, Aida Balayeva noted that the National Commission sees its task in creating opportunities for cooperation and supporting talents in the field of digitalization.
"The main priorities in this work are to expand the conditions for partnership, identify valuable talents and assist in realizing the economic and social potential of women's initiatives. This meeting is another step in addressing these issues," the Chairperson of the National Commission said.
The meeting was held within the framework of two working sessions. At the first session, a number of initiatives were raised to improve legislative practices and institutionally strengthen intersectoral cooperation. The special guest was the ambassador of the Google Women Techmakers program in Kazakhstan Zharkyn Shcheglova.
The speakers at this platform were the head of the Digital Transformation Public Foundation, the President of TechnoWomen Aziza Shuzheeva, the General Director of the Center for the Development of the Digital Economy LLP Bikesh Kurmangalieva, the Executive Director of the First Credit Bureau Asem Nurgalieva, the General Director of the Contract24 campaign Elena Sedykh, the Director of the Department of Transformation and Project Management of Kazpost JSC Elena Chekaeva.
Within the framework of the second session, a number of projects aimed at solving various levels of socially significant issues and the development of social entrepreneurship were presented. In particular, ideas were presented to expand online education, improve the skills of teachers and digitalize schools, sex education of young people, prevent domestic violence, as well as identify cancer and online support for women during pregnancy and childbirth.
The main outcome of the meeting was the strengthening of social partnership opportunities and the formation of a stable system of relations between government agencies, national companies and representatives of the IT entrepreneurship sector.
