The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls upon road users to follow transport safety regulations, and most importantly - to remember that the consequences of them are very tragic, El.kz reports with reference to the Polisia.kz.

Since the beginning of the year, more than 700 people have been died in road accidents and about 7,000 of our citizens have been injured. Every day, up to 10 people die on the roads of the country and about 70 receive various bodily injuries. Only yesterday, 39 road accidents were registered in the country during the day, in which 11 people died and 57 were injured.

"A significant number of victims are children and young people under 40 years old. These are absolutely irreparable losses for us, for the future of our country. Analysis of road accidents indicates that their main reasons remain exceeding the speed limit, violations of rules for manoeuvring, driving onto the opposite strip, overturning, pedestrian struck.

It is important to remember that on the road, each road user is responsible for his own safety and for the safety of others. A seemingly harmless crossing of the road by a pedestrian in the wrong place can turn into a tragedy. Speeding can be a tragedy for an entire family.

Therefore, it is extremely important to follow the speed limit, as well as a safe distance between cars, which will help to avoid an accident in the event of an unexpected change in the situation on the road. When driving a car, always be fastened with a seat belt and make sure that passengers are fastened.

It is on the personal discipline of each road user that road safety depends. It is important for everyone to realize that road accidents cause irreparable damage. This is the loss of loved ones, disability and psychological trauma. We encourage everyone to be vigilant and attentive. Road safety always depends on the culture of behaviour on the roads. It begins with each of us," Chairman of Committee of administrative police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Atigai Arystanov said.
