The issues of organizing the launch of an international tourist passenger train from Xi'an to Almaty were discussed during a working meeting by the heads of NC KTZ JSC, Passenger Transportation JSC and the delegation of the government of Xi'an (PRC), El.kz cites railways.kz.
The tourist train will run through the Khorgos-Altynkol border crossing according to the schedule of passenger train No. 103/104 on the Urumqi-Almaty-2 route.
The train will remain at Almaty-2 station for several days. During this time, the Kazakh side will provide security measures and assistance in organizing cultural events at the railway station for passengers.
