For the first half of 2022, exports and imports in Kazakhstan were record-breaking, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“For 6 months of 2022, it amounted to $ 11.26 billion, which is 36.2% higher than last year's figures and more than three times more than the volume of the first half of 2016. This volume is the maximum for all time. Moreover, the volumes of both exports and imports turned out to be the maximum. Kazakh supplies to China amounted to $6.63 billion, imports of Chinese goods - $4.63 billion," the ministry said in a statement.

The growth of exports to China is justified by an increase in oil supplies by 3.8 times to $ 1.6 billion, while the rest of exports grew by only 10.5%.

The record volume of imports is explained by a sharp increase in the supply of Chinese machinery and equipment, computers and other high-tech products.
