Zhalpaktal’s Eiffel Tower replica to welcome tourists

The village of Zhalpaktal in W Kazakhstan, which recently unveiled a 30-meter replica of the Eiffel Tower is being prepared to welcome tourists. Organizers are offering tours to this unusual destination, El.kz reports.

The structure was built by local high school graduates from the class of 2006 to commemorate their 20th anniversary. The former classmates spent approximately $100,000 into the development of Zhalpaktal.

The village quickly went viral on social media. Many Kazakhstanis expressed a desire to see the tower with their own eyes, leading tour operators to launch organized trips.

However, the company selling the tours has temporarily suspended group bookings while awaiting official permission from the Department of Sports and Tourism.

For now, only individual trips are available. The Zhalpaktal tower has already been recognized as the tallest replica of the Eiffel Tower in Kazakhstan and continues to attract the both tourists and the media.
