Yulia Putintseva won the first round of the Australian Open

Kazakhstani tennis player Yulia Putintseva (47th racket of the world) in the first round of the Australian open won the  representative of Romania Sorana Kyrsti (42nd racket of the world), El.kz reports with reference to the Olympic.kz.

The final score was 2:6, 6:4, 6:3. The meeting lasted 1 hour and 53 minutes.

With the score 6:2, 2:1 in favor of the Romanian, the game was interrupted due to rain and resumed only two hours later.

In the next round, the Kazakh player will meet with the Czech Karolina Pliskova (31st racket of the world).
