Kazakhstani tennis player Yulia Putintseva successfully started at the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid, El.kz reports with reference to Olympic.kz.
In the first round, Putintseva, ranked 51st in the WTA rankings, met with American Claire Liu (55 WTA).
The meeting ended with the victory of the Kazakhstani with a score of 6:4, 6:4.
In the second round of the competition, Julia will play with the fifth racket of the world Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia.
