Today, public outreach meetings were held across Akmola region with the participation of representatives of the Kurultai, Kazakhstan Halyk Kenesi and several government ministries.
The delegation included Askhat Rakhimzhanov, Member of the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Bagdat Rakhmetullina, Member of the Kazakhstan People’s Council; and Yerlan Akbarov, Vice Minister of Energy.
Particular attention during the meetings was devoted to explaining the key provisions of the Address of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, entitled “Current Priorities of Kazakhstan at a New Historical Stage.”
As part of the working visit, the delegation met with faculty members and students of Sh. Ualikhanov University, as well as employees of Tynys and Novopek enterprises.
In Zerendi District, the dialogue continued with representatives of the education and cultural sectors. Meetings were held with the staff of the district school of arts and teachers of the Malik Gabdullin School-Gymnasium.
Key topics of discussion included the country’s socio-economic development priorities, the modernisation of education and healthcare, improving public welfare, developing the labour market, and ensuring sustainable economic growth.
“Declaring 2027 the Year of Nationwide Construction is a large-scale initiative that will affect virtually every region and is directly linked to the quality of life of citizens. This initiative is of particular practical significance for Akmola Region. Each district has its own infrastructure needs, and it is important to ensure that actual public needs are taken into account when construction plans are being developed. At the same time, attention must be paid not only to the construction of new facilities, but also to construction quality, implementation timelines, and the subsequent maintenance of infrastructure,” Askhat Rakhimzhanov, Member of the Kurultai said.
In Kosshy, the meetings also brought together representatives of various population groups. Representatives of the Kurultai, Kazakhstan Halyk Kenesi, and the Government visited a municipal school-gymnasium, the Viamedis outpatient clinic, and a public cultural and sports complex, where they met with teachers, healthcare professionals, and local residents. Discussions covered education, healthcare, social policy, and economic development.
According to Sholpan Karinova, Member of the Kurultai, one of the primary objectives of such meetings is not only to explain the provisions of the Presidential Address, but also to hear the views and concerns of citizens.
“Today’s meeting is intended not only to explain the main priorities outlined in the Presidential Address, but also to hear citizens’ opinions and establish an open dialogue with society. After all, the successful implementation of any initiative is the result of shared responsibility and unity,” she emphasised.
The practical value of such working visits lies in the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into conditions across the region, hear people’s concerns, and receive feedback from those working on a daily basis in education, industry, healthcare, and other sectors. For local residents, these meetings provide an opportunity to directly raise issues that require attention.
