Year of Kazakh Tourism started in China
The opening ceremony of the Year of Kazakh Tourism in China was held in Beijing,El.kz reports.
The events scheduled for March 28 and 29 in the Chinese capital include various events with the participation of delegates from Kazakhstan and China.
The official opening began with the Kazakh-Chinese forum dedicated to tourism and investment, where the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Marzhikpayev spoke.
"The Year of Tourism of Kazakhstan in the People's Republic of China is a landmark event that contributes to the strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries. Our event today is an important step towards achieving this goal. We believe that our dialogue will give a new breath and new horizons of partnership in the field of tourism, creating the basis for fruitful and long-term cooperation," the minister said.
It was also emphasized that Kazakhstan can attract any tourist with its diverse nomadic culture, long history and special natural landscapes.
"Our country has a huge tourism potential, and the goal is to make these riches available to everyone who wants to get acquainted with them," Yermek Marzhikpayev added.
The forum was also attended by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China Sun Li. In addition, Kairat Sadvakasov, Head of the Kazakh Tourism National Company, made a welcoming speech and a presentation of the national company Kazakh Tourism.
"We are convinced that Kazakhstan is one of the most attractive destinations for Chinese tourists, being not just a friendly and neighboring country with a visa-free regime, but also a strategic partner of the Belt and Road Initiative. We offer to the attention of tourists the concept of "Eco-Ethnic-Entertainment-Events", covering the following areas: ecotourism, ethnotourism, entertainment and events," Kairat Sadvakasov said.
Sadvakasov, speaking about the tourism opportunities of various destinations in Kazakhstan, called on the forum participants to actively participate in the events that will be held throughout the year as part of the Year of Kazakhstan Tourism in China, planned for more than 35 in 2024.
During the meeting, topics related to the development of organized tourism for Chinese tourists and joint investment projects in this area were discussed. An exclusive exhibition was also organized for the participants of the forum, where it was possible to get acquainted with the sights of all 17 regions of Kazakhstan.
At the end of the forum, several memorandums were signed between representatives of Kazakhstan and China.
It is recalled that on March 29, the official opening ceremony of the Year of Kazakh Tourism in China will be held, which includes an ethno-village with a cultural program and a gala concert with the participation of famous artists from Kazakhstan.
