“Yandex Plus” and Zhurgenov Academy signed memorandum of cooperation

Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts and Yandex Plus signed a memorandum of cooperation, El.kz reports.
The document provides for long-term collaboration on educational programs, industry projects, and strengthening the export potential of domestic content.
Yandex Plus includes services such as Kinopoisk, Yandex Books, Yandex Music, and other digital platforms, giving students direct access to industry practices and modern technologies.
The parties agreed to launch educational intensives, workshops, and project schools at the Academy with the participation of Yandex Plus experts. A separate area of cooperation will focus on supporting student initiatives in film, animation, design, music production, and digital storytelling.
The partnership also envisions creating a working “bridge” between students and the industry through internships, hackathons, creative labs, and other formats where young talents can gain real cases and build portfolios. Plans include joint development of festivals, exhibitions, awards, and public events aimed at showcasing new names and increasing the visibility of Kazakhstani projects.
The Academy noted that it has maintained its position as a leader among creative majors and continues to strengthen its status as a key platform in the fields of art and culture. Cooperation with Yandex Plusis expected to enhance practice-oriented training and expand employment opportunities for graduates.
Supporting the creative industry is one of the priorities of Yandex Plus. Earlier, the ecosystem launched initiatives for musicians and writers, while the recommendation service Yandex Music helps emerging performers find audiences not only in Kazakhstan but also abroad, through projects such as ISKRA Qazaqstan.
