XI Civil Forum of Kazakhstan started in Astana

The XI Civil Forum of Kazakhstan has started in Astana, which brought together representatives of the civil sector, NGOs, government agencies and public figures, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Civil Forum of Kazakhstan.

Vice Minister of Culture and Information Daniyar Kadirov made a welcoming speech at the opening of the event. He noted that civil society is the initiator of many positive changes in the country.

"An active civil society makes a special contribution to the economic, social and political development of our country," the Vice Minister stressed.

Speaking with a welcoming speech, the President of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan Banu Nurgazieva noted that the first Civil Forum was held 20 years ago.

"We are different today, we have changed, we have become a strong and mature civil society. Today, there are people in this hall with an active life position, people who are not indifferent. I would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributes to the development of the country and the well-being of every home. 20 regional forums are the difference of the XI Civil Forum of Kazakhstan. I was lucky enough to see forums in 20 regions of the country. Each of them was held at a decent level," Banu Nurgaziyeva said.

The first conference within the framework of the Forum was devoted to the discussion of building a regional partnership with civil society to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in Central Asia. The co-organizer was the UNDP office in Kazakhstan.
