World leader in gold mining to show interest in cooperation with Kazakhstani companies

Possible cooperation with Barrick Gold in the field of exploration and mining has been discussed today at the office of the National Mining Company. Bakyt Chirchikbayev, the CEO of Tau-Ken Samruk has presented the current and prospective projects of the company. Canadian businessmen have expressed interest in continuing the dialogue regarding future cooperation, El.kz cites tks.kz.

Barrick Gold Corporation conducts exploration and production of gold and copper in the USA, Canada, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Dominican Republic, Peru, Chile, Russia, South Africa, Pakistan, Colombia, Argentina and Tanzania. In all regions of its presence, the company pays great attention to issues of interaction with local communities, including investments in social economic development projects, support for medicine and education. In 2021 alone, Barrick Gold invested USD26.5 million for these purposes.

As of March 2023, Barrick Gold’s market capitalization amounts to USD32.55 billion, the company has more than 10,000 employees worldwide.
