The vaccine against the human papillomavirus (HPV) has been used for more than 15 years in 135 countries around the world, including Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, El.kz reports citing the Ministry of Health.

117 countries around the world have included human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines in their national immunization programmes, including most countries in Europe, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Latin America

In Kazakhstan, HPV vaccination is scheduled for the third quarter of 2024.

According to the WHO recommendation, girls aged 9-14 years are the group for HPV vaccination.

In accordance with the National Immunization Calendar of the Republic of Kazakhstan, taking into account the position of WHO and the recommendation of the National Technical Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization of the Population in the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is planned to vaccinate girls at the age of 11 years.
