Volume of green projects of Eurasian Development Bank amounted to over $600 million
Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) within the framework of the Bank's Annual Meeting, at which the results of the organization's work for 2023 were considered, as well as a number of decisions were made on further multilateral development, El.kz reports, referring to the press service of the Government.
Nikolai Podguzov, Chairman of the EDB Management Board, noted that in 2023, the Bank maintained financial stability and strengthened its role as a leading development institution in the region of operations. In the reporting year, the bank increased its work in the field of "green investments" - the volume of green projects in the current investment portfolio at the end of the year amounted to more than $600 million.
The accumulated investment portfolio for 18 years of the Bank's work has reached $14.7 billion, the total number of projects is 285.
The main share is occupied by projects with an integration effect in the areas of transport infrastructure, digital systems, green energy, agriculture, industry and mechanical engineering.
