Veterinary science and biosafety discussed in Almaty at international conference

An international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 120th anniversary of domestic veterinary science was held in Almaty, El.kz reports.
The conference gathered leading scientists and specialists from Kazakhstan, Russia, China, South Korea, European countries, Belarus, Georgia, Tajikistan, and other states.
The event focused on the achievements and prospects of veterinary science in the context of ensuring biological safety.
Health Minister of Kazakhstan Akmaral Alnazanova noted the historical role of Kazakh Scientific Research Veterinary Institute as one of the oldest scientific institutions in the country. Over more than a century of history, the institute has developed dozens of diagnostic methods, vaccines, and drugs that have played a key role in the fight against dangerous diseases such as brucellosis, anthrax, and foot-and-mouth disease.
The main goal of the conference is to develop cooperation between scientific institutions and practicing specialists, as well as to formulate strategies for integrating innovative technologies into the veterinary and biological safety system.
The event has become an important platform for exchanging experiences and strengthening international ties, which is especially relevant in the context of global challenges in the field of biosecurity.
