TurkicSkills 2025 intl professional skills championship held in Aktau

Aktau hosted the international professional skills championship TurkicSkills 2025 on Kazakhstan’s initiative. The event became an important platform for cooperation between the technical and vocational education system, businesses, and foreign partners,El.kz reports citing the press service of the Kazakh Enlightenment Ministry.

One of the key outcomes of the championship was the signing of about 100 memorandums of cooperation between colleges, domestic enterprises, and foreign educational institutions. These agreements are aimed to introduce new technologies, innovative projects, modern teaching methods, develop the WorldSkills movement, and organize joint workshops and experience exchanges.

Sanzhar Tatibekov, President of the Non-profit Joint Stock Company “Talap” noted that such partnerships open new opportunities for students.

“These agreements allow our students to develop professional skills according to international standards and improve their employability. It’s an important step in enhancing education quality and training specialists in demand on the labor market,” he emphasized.

The TurkicSkills 2025 championship gathered about 70 students and young professionals aged 16 to 22, as well as about 90 experts from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Participants competed in various skill categories, demonstrating their practical abilities according to international standards.
