Trump announces 'complete and total' ceasefire between Israel and Iran

US President Donald Trump announced that a “complete and total” ceasefire between Israel and Iran was “fully agreed” to. Trump says the ceasefire is expected to start in the coming hours after both countries “wound down and complete their in progress, final missions!”
Trump announced in a post on his own social media platform, Truth Social, that the truce will be phased in over 24 hours. He also added that once completed, it will mark an “official end” to the 12-day war.
“Iran will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 12th Hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World,” wrote Trump.
The 47th US president noted that each side is to remain “peaceful and respectful” during each other’s ceasefire phase, stressing that everything should work smoothly.
