Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan amounted to 17 million US dollars

Akim of the region Nurlybek Nalibayev met with the Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Almaty Abror Fatkhullayev, who arrived on a working trip to Kyzylorda region, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the akimat of Kyzylorda region.

The head of the region noted that the trusting relations between the two neighboring countries have deep roots.

"This year, more than 30 years have passed since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. As you know, at the meeting of the Presidents of the two states on December 22, 2022 in Tashkent, in order to develop interregional cooperation between Kyzylorda region and Navoi region, a "Road Map" was signed aimed at expanding trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Now we are exchanging information in industry, agriculture, trade and other areas in order to expand bilateral cooperation with the Navoi region. In the future, we have the opportunity to further develop trade and economic relations. I express my great confidence that your working visit to Kyzylorda region will further strengthen the cooperation of fraternal countries!" Nurlybek Mashbekovich said.

Akim of the region wished a successful referendum on amendments to the Constitution, which will soon be held in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Responsible persons were instructed to organize an electoral post in the territory of Kyzylorda region.

In turn, the Consul General thanked the head of the region and expressed interest in further developing a mutually beneficial partnership. He also noted that he was impressed by the work of the Kazakh side to save the Aral Sea and restore its ecosystem.
