According to the latest changes to the Rules for Paying the Tourist Tax, foreign tourists arriving in Kazakhstan are now exempt from paying the bed tax, which previously ranged from 690 to 1,726 tenge, El.kz reports.

In accordance with the amendments, a zero rate of tourist tax on the cost of their stay will now be applied in the places of residence of foreign guests.

Previously, Kazakhstan had fixed rates of tourist tax, ranging from 0.2 to 0.5 MCI (690 to 1726 tenge).
