Tokayev instructs to popularize children's sports and promote culture

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Abayev, el.kz cites Akorda press service.

During the meeting, Dauren Abayev reported to the President about measures to increase the incomes of certain categories of citizens. According to him, this year the salaries of employees of certain organizations of culture, art and sports have increased. The Ministry will continue to work on the implementation of the relevant instructions of the Head of State.

Dauren Abayev reported on the situation in the book publishing industry. The main efforts today are aimed at ensuring the competitiveness of domestic printed materials, including children's literature, as well as supporting Kazakhstani writers. Along with this, the President was informed about the modernization and digitalization of archival repositories.

Special attention was paid to the preparation of Kazakhstani athletes for major international starts, including the 2024 Olympic Games.

Following the meeting, the Head of State set a number of tasks for the Ministry to popularize mass and children's sports and promote national culture.

In addition, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the importance of developing tourism infrastructure and creating the necessary conditions for attracting foreign investors and launching joint projects in the field of tourism.
