Tokayev expresses condolences on death of Naum Shafer
Kazakh President sent a telegram to the family and friends of the professor.
The Head of State sent a telegram of condolences to the relatives and friends of Professor Naum Shafer, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.
The President expressed condolences on the death of an outstanding musicologist, philologist, Professor Naum Shafer.
"Naum Grigorievich has come a long way in life and left a unique literary and musical heritage, was a wise mentor for the younger generation. His life's work was a unique collection of thousands of musical works and books, including recordings of Kazakh folk melodies. The bright memory of Naum Grigorievich will forever remain in our hearts," the telegram says.
Naum Grigorievich Shafer was a soviet and kazakh musicologist, collector-philophonist, composer and literary critic.
