The Head of State of Kazakhstan held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of JSC NC "KazMunayGas" Magzum Mirzagaliyev. Important aspects of the activities of the national company were discussed at the meeting, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.
Magzum Mirzagaliyev reported on the company's resu for 2023, including operational and financial performance. He also reported on the development of export routes for Kazakh oil, including the start of supplies of raw materials to Germany and through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline to Azerbaijan, as well as the expansion of the tanker fleet in cooperation with partners from the UAE.
The President was briefed on increasing commercial gas production, ensuring uninterrupted supplies of petroleum products to the domestic market, attracting investment and developing petrochemical projects. The issues of progress in the implementation of the Kalamkas-Sea, Khazar, Auezov offshore project in the Caspian Sea and the geological exploration program were also mentioned.
The results of the company's social projects were presented, including the completion of the reconstruction of the Astrakhan – Mangyshlak main water pipeline and the start of construction of a new desalination plant for the city of Zhanaozen.
The Head of State gave a number of instructions on the implementation of investment projects, maintaining the stability of hydrocarbon export routes and expanding geological exploration. The President emphasized the importance of focusing KazMunayGas' activities on the development of the country's petrochemical industry.
