Kazakh President was informed about the current activity on the relevant issues of trade, integration and agriculture. Among the current issues of agenda is the preparation for the upcoming meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
2024 will mark 10 years anniversary since the establishment of the integration grouping of the five countries. During this period the EAEU’s mutual trade with Kazakhstan has increased 74% ($16.3bn in 2015, $28.3bn in 2022). The export increased 90% ($5.1bn in 2015, $9.7bn in 2022).
Tokayev was also briefed about the increasing the agro-industrial complex’s processing volume from 30% to 70%. Today, the agriculture ministry has prepared a pool of 500 major promising projects in the sphere of agro-industrial complex for
1.6trl tenge for 2024-2026. The projects will receive around 500 bln tent for the first time from the domestic second-tier bank. The list of promising projects will be updated soon.
The Head of State instructed the deputy PM to strengthen the control over the effective use of the funds in the agriculture projects and ensure a quality preparation for the events of the international level.
