Tokayev receives Chairman of NAC Kazatomprom JSC

The Head of State received Chairman of the Chairman of the Management Board of NAC Kazatomprom JSC Meirzhan Yusupov,El.kz reports citing Akorda.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard a report on the results of the company's activities for the first half of this year.

Meirzhan Yusupov reported that during the reporting period, uranium production and sales amounted to about 11 and 8 thousand tons.

The President was informed about the ongoing projects to expand and replenish the country's mineral resource base, as well as plans to further expand the portfolio of exploration assets of the national company.

According to the Head of State, since the beginning of the year, Kazatomprom has allocated more than 3.5 billion tenge for the social development of the regions, including assistance to flood victims.

Following the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, noting the importance of geological exploration and replenishment of the resource base, instructed to continue work in this direction.
