Tokayev instructs Government to abandon major events in Kazakhstan

Taking into account the difficult flood situation in a number of regions of the country, in order to save budget funds, the Head of State instructed the Government, central state and local executive bodies to abandon the holding of major events, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.

"I canceled a major international forum to save money. We will reduce the costs of the World Nomad Games. It is no longer possible to cancel such an event, but the budget will be significantly reduced. In addition, the budget for holding and participating in the World Exhibition in Tokyo will be reduced, the Head of State said.

The President pointed out the need for all government agencies to learn lessons from the consequences of floods.
