Tokayev and Giorgia Meloni hold joint session at Astana International Forum
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni participated in a special session at the Astana International Forum, El.kz reports citing the press service of Aqorda.
During the meeting, the participants discussed issues of global security, regional cooperation, and prospects for deepening economic ties.
Giorgia Meloni addressing the participants outlined the key challenges of the current geopolitical situation and emphasized the importance of a sustainable dialogue between Europe and Central Asian countries.
She noted the growing role of Kazakhstan as a reliable partner and a facilitator of stability in the region.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, for his part, reaffirmed Kazakhstan's commitment to the principles of multilateral cooperation, open economy, and constructive participation in international initiatives.
The President expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Italy in energy, green technologies, and transportation logistics.
The forum in Astana became a platform for discussing key global issues and strengthening diplomatic ties. Special attention during the session was given to sustainable development and joint responses to international challenges.
