Tokayev and Berdimuhamedov discuss strengthening good-neighbourly relations

A brief conversation took place at the airport between Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, El.kz reports citing Aqorda.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan is steadily progressing and showing positive dynamics.
“I am pleased to see you again on the sacred Turkmen land, in brotherly Turkmenistan. I gladly accepted your invitation. The very fact that such an important forum is being held with the personal participation of the UN Secretary-General is evidence of Turkmenistan’s high international standing, which for 30 years has pursued a policy of positive neutrality. Kazakhstan fully supports this policy,” the President said.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty praised the special nature of Kazakh-Turkmen relations.
Both sides emphasized that the peoples of the two countries attach great importance to further strengthening friendship and good-neighborly ties.
