There are no Kazakhstanis in the lists of dead and injured in the earthquake in Turkey, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Aibek Smadiyarov said at a briefing, El.kz reports.

According to him, this is the information to date, but it should be noted that due to the large number of destructions, rescue operations continue.

The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that 968 citizens of Kazakhstan are on consular registration in Turkey, the number of Kazakh students in the country is 8,219 people.

"In total, according to the Turkish authorities, there may be about 75,000 citizens of Kazakhstan in the country," he said.
