The song Bashi by Kazakh singer BikaBreezy has won the “Song of the Year – 2026” category in China, El.kz reports.
The performer announced her victory on social media. She also posted a video filmed at the event and shared her joy with her followers.
BikaBreezy recorded Bashi in collaboration with Chinese musician Jaytrue. Released in February, the song combines elements of Afrobeat with traditional Chinese musical motifs.
The song’s title is derived from the word “巴适” (bāshì), which is commonly used in the Sichuan dialect of Chinese to express pleasure, comfort, or admiration.
BikaBreezy also took part in the Chinese music show “Rap of China 2026.” Performances by the Kazakh artist were broadcast on the iQIYI platform.
