Today, the work of the international youth and political camp "Youth Space: Fair Peace and Harmony" under the auspices of the Youth Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization started in the Almaty region, El.kz reports.
Within 4 days, more than 300 delegates from all regions of Kazakhstan, as well as international guests from Belarus, China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, India, Russia and Uzbekistan will take part in the work of the Bir Tolqynda dialogue platforms, thematic panel sessions and training seminars.
As you know, in July of this year, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, speaking at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO member states, called for strengthening the fight against the "three forces of evil": transnational organized crime, drug trafficking and cybercrime. The President of Kazakhstan also drew attention to the relevance of the development of digital technologies and the strengthening of cooperation in the field of ecology.
According to Akerke Iskanderova, Deputy Chairman of Zhastar Rukha, one of the main goals of the camp is to promote the initiatives of the Head of State in the SCO space, strengthen international youth cooperation and create conditions for the realization of the political and creative potential of the younger generation.
"First of all, based on the positive agenda set by the President of Kazakhstan, we are strengthening communication ties with youth activists from different countries. It is important to use the potential of young people productively and direct the energy of young people to create a better present and a confident future," she said.
