Salaries of workers in field of water resources to increase by 25% in Kazakhstan

From January 1, 2024, it is planned to increase the wages of water workers by 25% on average, El.kz reports, citing the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan.

In addition, specialized departments will be created in each region of Kazakhstan, the task of which will be the distribution of water resources and control over their use.

Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurzhan Nurzhigitov stressed that the increase in wages is part of efforts to make work in the water sector more attractive. He also noted the importance of not only retaining current specialists, but also training new personnel that meet modern requirements. Work on the implementation of these proposals is being carried out at the level of the Ministry.
