Photo Shoot with the World No. 1 Trophy
Following the tournament, the WTA organised a photo shoot in New York for the new world No. 1. Rybakina posed with two trophies: the US Open trophy and the award presented to the player ranked No. 1 in the world, designed in the form of a silver tennis ball featuring a star map.
For the photo shoot, the tennis player chose two different looks. In some photographs, she is wearing a bright red sleeveless dress, while in others she appears in a black outfit with silver accents. Some of the photographs were taken against the backdrop of the Empire State Building, which stands 443 metres tall.
The photographs quickly gained traction on social media. In comments under the WTA’s posts, users described Rybakina’s look as elegant and wrote that she deserved to be recognised as the most stylish world No. 1 in the history of the tour.
