Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 3 seed, won the Almaty Open tournament by beating Canadian Gabriel Diallo 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 at Almaty Arena, El.kz news agency reports with reference to the press service of the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.
The match lasted 2 hours and 25 minutes.
Now Khachanov is 2 places up in the live rankings to be the new world no.24.
