A roundtable on Kazakhstan-Türkiye cooperation was held in Ankara, El.kz cites MFA.

The event was attended by the former Prime Minister of Türkiye, now Chairman of the Council of Elders of Organization of Turkic States Binali Yıldırım, Chairman of the Supreme Election Council Akhmet Yener, Governor of Ankara Province Vasip Şahin, Deputy Foreign Ministers Nuh Yılmaz and Mehmet Bozay, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Serdar Çam, Chairman of the Presidency of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş, rectors of universities in Ankara and directors general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the meeting, the priorities of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Türkiye were discussed, as well as the active role of our country in international arena. In addition, the reforms carried out in Kazakhstan in the fields of human rights, taxes, politics, business, digitalization, medicine, agriculture, industrialization, transport and logistics were discussed. Within the framework of the “Born Bold” campaign, the country’s tourism potential was presented, and special attention was paid to investment opportunities.

According to the Turkish politicians, the activity in foreign policy of Kazakhstan has determined the special role of the middle  powers in international relations. Politicians noted that this year for Kazakhstan, which chaired 6 international organizations, was one of the most special periods in its foreign policy. Chairman of the Council of Elders of the OTS Yıldırım expressed his appreciation of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the organization under the aegis of “TURKTIME” and drew the attention of the meeting participants to the fact that our country is one of the founding countries of the OTS.
