Representatives of business and government agencies from Asia, Europe, Middle East and US gather in Almaty

More than 300 representatives of business and government agencies from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the United Kingdom and the United States, who gathered in Almaty at the 13th Central Asian Trade Forum (CATF), discussed the issues of integration and development of trade in Central Asia, El.kz reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In his speech, Vice Minister of Trade Kairat Torebayev noted that strengthening trade ties in Central Asia contributes to economic growth, job creation and improvement of living standards in the region.

Over the years, CATF has signed contracts worth more than $32 million, and more than 10,000 representatives of government and commercial structures from 25 countries have taken part in events at its venues.

Within the framework of the forum, a trade exhibition was held, where 40 companies from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan presented agricultural, textile, clothing and food products.
