QYZPU signs memorandum of cooperation with Michigan State University
As part of an official visit to US universities, the QyzPU delegation visited the laboratories of Michigan State University on preschool education, STEM education and held an official meeting with the leadership of the university, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Michigan State University is a tier-1 research university ranked among the top 100 universities in the world. About 30 of the university's programs are in the top 20 nationally. In the latest rankings, the university has also ranked first in higher education management and education management, as well as leading positions in the development and design of educational programs.
Steven Hanson, vice provost and dean of International Studies and Programs (ISP) at Michigan State University, noted the importance of this collaboration.
“Currently, our university is actively working with Kazakh colleagues, and we are pleased with new opportunities for cooperation with pedagogical universities in Kazakhstan," he said.
According to the Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, the memorandum will ensure the exchange of experience between faculty.
“The signing of a memorandum of cooperation at the level of the university leadership will expand cooperation between QyzPU and MSU in the field of advanced training of school teachers, ensure the exchange of experience between the teaching staff and conduct joint scientific projects," said Gulmira Qanay.
QyzPUs are doing a scientific internship at Michigan State University under the Bolashak program. From 2024,QyzPU plans to accept MSU professors as visiting scientists, and the two universities are interested in jointly launching educational programs for schools in Astana.
