A public discussion on the construction project of “Almaty SuperSki” in the Kok-Zhailau tract is being held in Almaty, El.kz reports citing the Almaty city administration.
Participants are discussing the development of the Almaty mountain cluster, improvements to tourism infrastructure, compliance with environmental standards, and the preservation of natural areas.
Representatives of government agencies, environmentalists, experts, public activists, and local residents are also taking part in the public hearings.
The discussions featured proposals and opinions regarding the project, as well as the impact of infrastructure initiatives on the nature of the Ile-Alatau region.
The Almaty Superski project is a comprehensive initiative aimed at creating a modern international-standard mountain resort near Almaty.
The project envisions the development of not only winter tourism, including skiing and snowboarding, but also year-round recreation, such as hiking trails, ecotourism, and sports activities.
