Prime Minister of Kazakhstan holds Energy Council meeting
The issues of further development of a number of mature oil fields were discussed at the Energy Council meeting chaired by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, El.kz cites primeminister.kz.
With the participation of the leadership of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan, central government agencies, the National Bank, Samruk-Kazyna JSC and the national company KazMunayGas, measures to increase investment and ensure the stable operation of fields in the final stages of development were considered. In particular, they touched upon the issues of production volumes, employment and taxation.
Prime Minister stressed the importance of supporting such fields to ensure stable provision of the domestic market of fuels and lubricants, replenish the state budget and the National Fund, as well as to save jobs.
In addition, the meeting addressed a number of other topical issues in the field of subsoil use.
