Presidents of Kazakhstan and Togo hold talks in narrow format
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks in Akorda with President of the Togolese Republic Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe, who arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.
- Kazakhstan is very interested in promoting comprehensive cooperation with your country. The day before, during an informal conversation, we discussed the existing opportunities of mutual interest for cooperation between Kazakhstan and your country. Of course, we are located on different continents, in different regions, but in the context of international tensions, we must unite our efforts, - the Kazakh President said.
During the meeting, the Head of State outlined the main areas on which Kazakhstan and Togo could focus their joint efforts. According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, it is necessary to establish a constant dialogue to promote the bilateral and international agenda. In this regard, Kazakhstan and Togo, as well as other countries, should contribute to the improvement of international relations, the President said.
"I would like to greet you and all the people of Kazakhstan on behalf of the Togolese people. We have great opportunities to give a new impetus to our cooperation for the benefit of our peoples," the Head of Togo said.
At the end, the leaders of the states continued negotiations in an expanded format with the participation of the delegations of the two countries.
