Presidents of Kazakhstan and Mongolia sign strategic partnership agreement
As a result of the first state visit of Kazakh President to Mongolia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia sign a strategic partnership agreement, El.kz reports.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed gratitude to the Mongolian side for the warm welcome. He noted that Kazakhstan and Mongolia share deep historical, cultural ties. Tokayev described the signing of the agreement as a key step in raising the relations between the states to a new level.
President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa said that Tokayev's state visit is a significant step towards developing bilateral relations. He expressed confidence that cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, investment and other sectors will only deepen.
At the meeting, the leaders discussed the prospects for cooperation particularly in such areas as agriculture, mining and metallurgy, energy, transport and logistics, as well as finance.
At the end of the talks, the President of Mongolia gifted Kassym-Jomart Tokayev the Kazakh-Mongolian dictionary which contains over 60 thousand words.
