Welcoming Shahbaz Sharif, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his condolences over the recent devastating floods in Pakistan, which have led to the death of many people and caused significant damage to the country.
The President noted that in solidarity with the friendly people of Pakistan, Kazakhstan provided humanitarian assistance to the victims of the natural disaster and confirmed its readiness to continue to support this country.
In turn, Shahbaz Sharif expressed great gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan for the support provided to his country in this difficult time. The Prime Minister of Pakistan spoke about the scale of the flooding that occurred as a result of climate change.
He expressed readiness to strengthen the Kazakh-Pakistani multifaceted cooperation and contribute to building up trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
During the conversation, an exchange of views on issues of ensuring regional security also took place.
