Kazakh President meets with EU Special Representative for Central Asia
The Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the EU Special Representative for Central Asia Ms Terhi Hakala, El.kz reports.
During the conversation, topical issues of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union were discussed.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev confirmed his interest in developing multifaceted cooperation with the European Union, one of Kazakhstan's key partners, and his readiness to give a new impetus to bilateral strategic cooperation.
The President reported on the recent constitutional referendum and reforms to build New Kazakhstan.
In turn, Terhi Hakala congratulated the President on the successful holding of the referendum and stressed the EU's commitment to long-term cooperation and interaction with Kazakhstan, the leading partner of Brussels in the Central Asian region. She also stated that the EU fully supports the reform program of the Head of State and highly appreciates the multi-vector and balanced foreign policy of Kazakhstan.
