President Tokayev receives head of Baiterek Holding Rustam Karagoishin

The Head of State received the head of Baiterek Holding Rustam Karagoishin, El.kz reports citing Akorda.

The President was briefed on the results of the holding's work for 2023 and plans for the implementation of strategic activities for the current year.

According to Rustam Karagoishin, the total contribution of the holding to business support amounted to about 2.5 trillion tenge. In the future, in order to ensure high-quality and sustainable development of the economy, Baiterek intends to focus its efforts on comprehensive financing of growth points with a priority on agriculture, manufacturing, infrastructure, transport and logistics, as well as housing construction.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was also informed about plans to provide measures aimed at supporting and developing competitive entrepreneurs. An important goal is to expand the financing of projects of small, medium and large businesses in all regions of Kazakhstan. In terms of SMEs, it is planned to actively support entrepreneurs in small and single-industry towns, as well as in rural areas.

The Head of State stressed the importance of intensifying work in these areas and noted that the systematic implementation of the tasks set will achieve significant results in strengthening the economy and improving the well-being of citizens of Kazakhstan.
