President of Kazakhstan receives Defence Minister Ruslan Zhaksylykov

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Defense Minister Ruslan Zhaksylykov, El.kz reports.

The Minister of Defense reported on the troop training, autumn conscription campaign and measures to strengthen the discipline and security of the service. Particular attention was paid to improving the social status of military personnel and increasing their monetary allowance.

Ruslan Zhaksylykov also briefed on the new approaches to the training of troops and work to increase the combat potential of the army. He stressed the importance of fulfilling the state defense order, the supply of modern equipment to the troops, including unmanned aircraft systems and electronic warfare systems.

Tokayev noted the importance of the participation of the Kazakh peacekeeping contingent  at the Golan Heights under the UN aegis.

Following the meeting, the President- Commander-in-Chief of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev set to speed up the interaction with domestic defense enterprises, develop area defense and Special Operations Forces, to strengthen social and legal work in the armed forces.
