Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited the Astana International Financial Centre, El.kz reports citing the press service of the Akorda.
The distinguished guests were informed about the achievements of the financial center and the features of the activities of the Financial Services Regulation Committee, the exchange, the AIFC Court, and the International Arbitration Centre.
President of Kazakhstan and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi were presented the opportunities for developing investment cooperation.
As of today, there are 46 companies from the UAE operating in the areas of finance and insurance, information and communication technology, trade, transport, and the manufacturing and mining industries that are residents of the Astana International Financial Centre.
On May 7 of this year, the Nasdaq Dubai and Astana International Exchange announced the launch of a direct link between their central depositaries. In 2024, AIX joined the digital exchange hub Tabadul, established by the Abu Dhabi Exchange (ADX).
