President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev receives Chairman of National Bank

Timur Suleimenov reported to the Head of State on the results of the implementation of monetary policy by the National Bank in January-June 2024,  El.kz reports.

Chairman of National Bank  also informed about the development of the economic situation in Kazakhstan and the world, the dynamics of inflation and measures to stabilize it.

In addition, the head of the National Bank reported on the slowdown in annual inflation and the persistence of  pro-inflationary factors within the economy.

He also spoke about the state of the UAPF assets and gold and foreign exchange reserves and reported on the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State on the implementation of projects for the development of the National Payment System and the principles of Open Banking, the creation of an Anti-Fraud Center to protect the funds of Kazakhstanis from fraudsters.

Following the meeting, the Head of State set a number of tasks for the activities of the National Bank, including further stabilization of inflation and building a digital financial infrastructure.
