President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Chairman of Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held an important meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, Nurlan Zhakupov, at which key aspects of the work and future of the national holding were discussed, El.kz reports.
According to Akorda, within the framework of the meeting, Nurlan Zhakupov presented a detailed report on the results of the Fund's work for 2023, and also shared plans for its further reform. Particular attention was paid to the medium-term strategy, which involves a wide range of measures aimed at improving the efficiency and expanding the holding's activities.
Zhakupov spoke in detail about the priority areas of Samruk-Kazyna's activities, including:
Implementation of investment projects: emphasis on the development of strategic projects in various sectors of the economy.
Production of high-tech products: focus on innovation and technological development.
Attracting foreign direct investment: strengthening international cooperation and attracting foreign investment.
Gradual abandonment of cross-subsidization of the economy: reducing the dependence of the Fund's companies on state support.
IPO and SPO of Samruk-Kazyna companies: expansion of financial opportunities through the involvement of private investors.
President Tokayev stressed the importance of these initiatives and set a number of tasks for the Fund to further develop and strengthen its role in the country's economy. He emphasized the need to implement plans aimed at strengthening the economic potential of Kazakhstan.
