President instructs to strengthen control over spending of budget funds

The President heard the report of Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov on the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan and the clarification of the parameters of the republican budget for 2023.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed that forecasts for global economic growth and macroeconomic indicators for 2023 were maintained at the previously approved level. Real GDP growth in Kazakhstan is planned at the level of 4%, the price of oil - $ 85 per barrel.
According to the Prime Minister, budget expenditures are planned to be clarified by 2.2 trillion tenge due to internal redistribution and an increase in budget revenues. As part of the clarification, additional costs are provided for the development of small and single-industry towns, the implementation of the project "Auyl – El Besigi", the provision of gas supply to settlements, the construction and reconstruction of heat supply systems, the maintenance of food security and the creation of conditions for mass employment in rural areas.
For the development of transport infrastructure and logistics, it is planned to finance the construction and reconstruction of roads, update rolling stock and purchase passenger cars. It also provides for the financing of major projects in the manufacturing industry, to ensure the defense capability and security of the country, additional funds are allocated to modernize the army and improve the conditions of military service.
The Head of State stressed the importance of strengthening control over the spending of budget funds in order to ensure maximum socio-economic effect.
